TOP 6 TIPS
FOR EXPECTING MOMS AND DADS
Do your research
Knowledge is power, do your research. But realize that you won’t be able to control every aspect of your pregnancy, delivery, or being a parent. And when you think you have; fate throws you a curveball (I never envisaged I would have a 32-week term preemie).
Less is more
Get the big items for the future baby first and the basics – you can always add more as you go.
Get ready to go!
Get a hospital bag packed (with basic hygiene products and other essentials) a good 2+ months before your due date.
Watch your baby
He/she knows what she needs better than anyone or any book can tell you. They are also surprisingly resilient.
Baby’s routine
Routine for baby is very important – but flexible routine even more so. It’s ok to deviate sometimes, life is not set in stone, and it is ok.
Prioritize!
Make a list of the most important activities for you. And within this, time for yourself and your partner is mandatory, not a luxury.
